Radical Embodiment:

Exploring The Continuum Approach to Movement Discovery.

Saturday afternoons in Burlington, Vermont

Fall Series, 2019: September 28, November 2, & December 7 (The Fall series is full.)

Winter Series, 2020: January 25, February 29, March 28

Discover the radical possibilities for health and well-being that are available to you through the practice of the Continuum approach to movement discovery. Moving more of your body in a wider variety of ways, more often has been found to be helpful way to improve health and well-being.

Also known as, “Continuum,” this biological awareness practice cultivates your awareness of internal experience through movement, breath, sound, meditation, consciousness exploration, creativity, and curiosity. Whether you are seeking strength and flexibility, healing, or a general sense of well-being Continuum helps to nurture trust in the wisdom of your body.

Healing is how our bodies respond, creatively innovate, and adapt to the challenges we’ve been asked to meet. Healing requires the creation of something new and different. Change your relationship to your body and discover how to adapt and thrive. New sensations lead to new perceptions, new thoughts, new actions, and radical new possibilities in living. This workshop offers the tools you need to access this inner healing realm on your own.

Cultivate a renewed devotion to self-care as you combine the gentle, fluid movement practices of Continuum, mindfulness meditation, and the principles of Osteopathic self-treatment, into a practice that has the potential to radically change the way you embody life.

All levels of ability and experience are welcome.

May 17-22, 2020 (Registration opens soon – please check back.)

Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health in Stockbridge, MA

The primary language of the body is silent-felt sensation. This workshop will present a wide scope of views and opportunities to experience the wisdom and creativity of this language of your senses.

Discover the radical possibilities in health and well-being available when you combine the fluid movement practices of Continuum and mindfulness meditation with the principles of osteopathic treatment into the way you care for yourself. Cultivate awareness of internal experience through breath, sound, meditation, and movement, and integrate these practices into daily life, nurturing a renewed sense of devotion to self-care.

Restore trust in the wisdom of your body as you allow yourself to sense deeply. Step outside your preconceived notions about your body and discover your inner resources for resilience, adaptability, and change. This workshop offers the tools you need to access this inner healing realm on your own.

This workshop experience can be valuable both as a form of self-exploration and self-care, and as a way for practitioners to develop and deepen the perceptual skills used with patients or clients.

In this workshop we will explore innovative views of:

  • what our senses are and how we can cultivate experiencing sensation more effectively
  • how to choose where to put our attention
  • the relationship between the brain, the gut, the face, the heart, and health
  • psycho-neuro-immunological relationships mediated by the senses
  • the interpersonal neurobiology of the senses
  • perceiving “the field of the senses” in ourselves and in others
  • inner resources for resilience, adaptability, and change
  • cultivating curiosity as a way of coping with uncertainty
  • radically reimagine how you care for yourself
  • refining awareness of internal experience
  • our interconnectedness with each other and with nature

All “levels” of ability and experience are welcome.

Bonnie Gintis offers a unique blend of Osteopathic principles and philosophy, scientific and medical information, poetry, and perceptual inquiry, combined with an opportunity to experience it all through Continuum practice. Utilizing breath, sound, movement, meditative open attention, and perceptual inquiry, this workshop provides an opportunity to experience an embodied understanding of the wisdom of the sensations of the living human body.
